Dr. William T. Price is a Tuscaloosa native and UA alumnus who discovered a passion for Asian art while serving in the Korean War. “Dr. and Mrs. William T. Price have one of America’s finest collections of art from Asia, and have loaned their collection…to museums and galleries all over the United States. In this exhibition, Dr. Price and his wife are graciously sharing some of their fine collection of Japanese prints with The University of Alabama, giving us a small glimpse of samurai and sumo culture.” excerpted from an essay by Claire Brown
