The department of art and art history is proud to presents a Master of Arts exhibition by graduate student Zoe Fitch. It’s Canning Season opens March 22, 2021, in the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art and runs through May 7. Using the mediums of painting, clay, collage and screen printing, Fitch illustrates traditions associated with Southern domestic female gender roles, incorporating pieces of her own history into her art practice in pursuit of identity. The SMGA is an essential part of the education and development of UA students and our community. Admission to the gallery is free. The gallery is open to the public with reduced capacity. Hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:30 p.m. Visitors must wear face coverings inside the gallery and maintain a minimum distance of six feet from others.
