In July and August, Associate Professor Bill Dooley spent two mornings a week teaching drawing and an introduction to wet and dry media to our former Garland Hall neighbors at CrossingPoints. Dooley taught art classes to graduate students, teachers and young adults of varying abilities in the CrossingPoints Summer Bridge Program, which provides college-age students with intellectual disabilities a structured opportunity to experience, explore and develop skills that will help them pursue post secondary education. Dooley observed that “visual arts added enrichment to this residency program whose purpose is to offer participants opportunities to experience independent living and working.”
