Art & Art History February Faculty Accolades 2022

Bryce Speed, associate professor, of painting, has work included in the juried group exhibition, A Plot Hatched by Two, by Warbling Collective, at Yorktown Workshops, in London. Speed also exhibited his work in a two-person exhibition at Gallery VOX in Tarrant, Alabama.

Eichold Gallery at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, will host a solo exhibition, Lethal Lounge, of the ceramic-based sculpture of Assistant Professor Wade MacDonald in February and March.

Christopher Jordan, associate professor, photography, has a solo exhibition at the SMA Photographic Gallery in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in February and March.

Dr. Wendy Castenell, assistant professor, art history, has been awarded a ninth-month Long-Term Fellowship by The Newberry Library for  2022-2023. Long-Term Fellowships are intended to support individual scholarly research and promote serious intellectual exchange through active participation in the Newberry’s scholarly activities, including Fellows’ Seminars and Weekly Colloquium.
