Alumna Arielle Gray (BA 2019), who is studying photography at the Yale School of Art, was featured in Cultured Magazine, one of “10 promising students in the MFA program [invited] to share their works in progress.” Gray, a third-year graduate student, said, “I am currently exploring Black female subjectivity and I’m constantly adding facets to my definitions of non-physical and physical beauty. Most of my work has taken place in the American South—I’m from Tuscaloosa, Alabama—as I find it to be a landscape full of untapped potential.”

Gray’s photography has been published in T – The New York Times Style Magazine, and her work will be included in Photolucida’s Critical Mass TOP 50 Exhibition.
