With an embarrassment of riches, the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art at The University of Alabama presents Saturated: Selections from the Permanent Collection, featuring works including photographs, paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and ceramics from our acclaimed collection. This exhibition features nationally and internationally known artists such as Stephen Antonakos, Sara Garden Armstrong, Lee Krasner and Alison Saar, alongside regionally renowned artists such as the widely-collected Richard Zoellner, who established at UA in 1945 one of only two programs of fine art printmaking in the Southeast.

The gallery collection has expanded in recent years to include more than 1,500 works of primarily modern and contemporary art. Notable artists such as Pablo Picasso, Walker Evans, Chuck Close, Robert Rauschenberg, Susan Rothenberg, Carrie Mae Weems, Jennifer Bartlett, Judy Pfaff and Willie Cole are represented in the collection.Robert Rauschenberg, "Shell, SMGA Permanent Collection
