Tuscaloosa – The Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center will showcase an unprecedented gathering of work by recent University of Alabama master of fine arts alumni in both its galleries in August and September. The University of Alabama Graduate Alumni Exhibition will run August 3 through September 28 with a reception for the artists First Friday September 7, 5-8 pm.
MFA alumni Clayton Colvin, James Davis, Claire Lewis Evans, Amy Feger, Darius Hill, Barbara Kilgore, Meredith Knight, April Livingston, Joe McCreary, Lisa Marie Michitti, Andy Pruett, Aynslee Moon Smithee, Astri Snodgrass, Anna Katherine Vinson, Stephen Watson, Tom Wegrzynowski, Turner Williams and Kelsey Windham will exhibit recent works in a wide variety of media including sculpture, painting, drawing, printmaking, digital media and more. The exhibition is coordinated by MFA alumna Anne Herbert.
The exhibition is sponsored by the UA Department of Art and Art History and The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa. It will be held in both The Arts Council Gallery and The University of Alabama Gallery of the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, with First Friday events on Aug. 3 and Sept. 7. The DWCAC is located at 620 Greensboro Avenue, Tuscaloosa, 35401. Gallery hours for both galleries are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-4 p.m., and noon-8 p.m. on First Fridays.
