UA Art Faculty Accolades – October 2022

John Prince, instructor, art and art history, had a photograph juried into the exhibition Gregory Harris Selects 2022, APG’s (Atlanta Photography Group) feature exhibition for Atlanta Celebrates Photography 2022, October 17-November 17, 2022. Juror Gregory Harris is the Keough Family Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.

Bryce Speed, associate professor, art and art history, has a solo exhibition, “Think It and Breathe It,” at The Arts Council Gallery, Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, in Tuscaloosa, Oct. 7-27. Speed also had work juried into the 7th Art of the South Exhibition, October 1-29, at the gallery Zeitgeist in Nashville, Tennessee. The show was juried by Frist Art Museum curator Katie Delmez. His painting, “Salt Dome,” was one of three featured on the exhibition’s website.

Melissa Yes at Poole Art Gallery, Montevallo

Ashlee René Thompson, instructor, art and art history, had work juried into the “56th Annual Montgomery Art Guild Regions Bank Exhibition,” at Regions Bank (RSA Tower) in Montgomery, Alabama, October 4-20.

Melissa Yes, assistant professor, art and art history, has a solo exhibition, “Speciation,” at the Poole Art Gallery, University of Montevallo, in Montevallo, Alabama, October 20 – December 1, 2022.
