Nic Tisdale teaches Drawing I, 2D Design and Introduction to Digital Art I. He received an MFA and MA in graphics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BFA from the University of Montevallo. He earned a certification in Web Development from Madison College. His work has been shown at galleries, art centers and universities across the south and midwest including solo exhibitions at Martin Hall Gallery (Mobile, Ala.) and Marian Acree Tucker Gallery (Marion, Ala.); and group exhibitions at Herron Gallery of IUIPUI (Indianapolis, Ind.), University of Tennessee Downtown Gallery (Knoxville, Tenn.), and Overture Center for the Arts (Madison, Wis.). His work focuses on the visual construction of meaning in portraiture and how these images attempt to exert influence on their audience.
