Galleries Go Online with Exhibitions and Activities in West Alabama

Art Roundup from the UA Dept. of Art and Art History: today is Wednesday, April 1, 2020, but we’re no fools! While the cities and towns of West Alabama follow local, statewide and national health advisories in order to stem the spread of COVID-19, most galleries are closed to the public to ensure the safety of their visitors and staff. Many galleries and organizations are now working to produce online exhibitions – some have already posted them. Check below for cancellations and for links to new online art exhibitions and blog posts. Please stay safe, and please support your local artists wherever you can.

Thanks to Lorrie Lane for our featured image. Continue to send us your updates on visual arts events — we want to know what online exhibitions you’re putting on. This list is updated throughout the week here. The Arts Council calendar and list of arts organizations is also a good place to check for closings, online exhibitions and home activities. Stay home, stay safe and wash your hands!
