Gallery Hopping from Home -The West Alabama Art Roundup

Art Roundup from the UA Dept. of Art and Art History: today is Wednesday, March 25, 2020. While the cities and towns of West Alabama follow local, statewide and national health advisories in order to stem the spread of COVID-19, most galleries will be closed to the public to ensure the safety of their visitors and staff. Many galleries are now working to produce online exhibitions – a few have already posted them. Check below for cancellations and for links to new online art exhibitions and blog posts. Please stay safe, and please support your local artists wherever you can.

Thanks to Sarah Dittmann for our featured image. Continue to send us your updates on visual arts events — we want to know what online exhibitions you’re putting on. This list is updated throughout the week here.

Look for the Art Roundup e-list each week, a service of the UA Department of Art & Art History. We hope to provide a more or less comprehensive list of free exhibits and visual arts events in West Alabama (*and sometimes a wider net, esp. if West Alabama folks are showing), with hyperlinks. Follow the links to get more information. To send your exhibition info, unsubscribe to this email, or to change or add an email address, please email: Your comments and suggestions are welcome.
