Ceramics graduate student Sydney Ewerth was accepted to a summer workshop at Oxbow School of Art in Saugatuck, Michigan, to be held in July. The University of Alabama College of Arts and Sciences announced in March that Jason Guynes will chair the Department of Art and Art History starting in August. Guynes is currently professor and chair of the Department of Visual Arts at the University of South Alabama. He received the MFA from Tulane University and the BA in art from Belhaven College.
