The Sarah Moody Gallery of Art at The University of Alabama presents a year-round schedule of changing exhibitions devoted to contemporary art, including works from the Permanent Collection. The gallery, located in Garland Hall, provides artistic and cultural enrichment for the university and West Alabama communities and is committed to representing a diverse range of artistic practices primarily through exhibition and lectureship.

Sella-Granata Art Gallery

Named in honor of two longtime UA art professors, the late Alvin Sella and Angelo Granata, the Sella-Granata Art Gallery features student exhibitions as well as visiting artists and is an essential part of the education and development of UA students and our community.

Fall 2026 Hours:

Monday: 11:45 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., 5 – 6 p.m.

Wednesday: 9 – 10:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Thursday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Friday: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Paul R. Jones Museum

The Paul Jones Museum, located in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa, presents a year-round schedule of exhibitions of works from the Paul R. Jones Collection of American Art at The University of Alabama as well as hosts guest exhibitions.

The museum honors  Mr. Jones’ vision of art, community and continuous learning by hosting lecture series, concerts, workshops, and theatrical performances.  The Paul R. Jones Museum is also a classroom for the arts, where students from kindergarten to college experience learning in a new and exciting environment.

Admission to the museum is free.

University of Alabama Gallery

Located at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, the 1,500-square-foot UA Gallery showcases year-round, rotating exhibits of artistic works, artifacts, textiles and more from permanent collections held by the university and created by faculty, students, and guest artists and designers.

Woods Quad Sculpture Garden

The University of Alabama has a large and growing collection of outdoor, public sculpture. The Woods Quad Sculpture Garden has been growing for many years, but was officially dedicated in August 2014 by then-Dean Robert Olin. Currently, the quad grounds are occupied by Craig Wedderspoon’s Quilted Vessel, Goldie 1971 by Joe McCreary, and much more.

Moore-Wilson Gallery

The Moore-Wilson Gallery is a gallery space managed by UA’s Department of Art & Art History. The gallery marks an exciting addition to the 15,000-foot Catherine and Pettus Randall Welcome Center.

Tucked away on the first floor of the Welcome Center, the gallery features a large, permanently-installed painting by world-renowned Alabama artist and UA alum William Christenberry (1936 – 2016). Exhibitions in the space will be curated by Art & Art History’s Sarah Moody Gallery of Art and other departments around UA.

The space, named in honor of Dr. Joseph Watts Moore and Mr. Charles Kemmons Wilson, was made possible through the generosity of Betty and Jack Moore.
