The Paul R. Jones Museum announces the opening show of the fall exhibition season: Recent Acquisitions: Additions to the Paul R. Jones Collection of American Art at The University of Alabama 2015 – 2022. Curator Emily Bibb has selected a variety of works acquired in the past seven years including artists such as Radcliffe Bailey, Beverly Buchanan, Willie Cole, Thornton Dial, Clementine Hunter, Ukuu Tafari (Antjuan Oden), and Purvis Young. The exhibition, including paintings, prints and mixed media works, will be on view from First Friday August 5 through September 23, 2022, with a reception on First Friday September 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Read more here.
