Artwork by Jason Guynes Selected for Prominent New York Exhibition

Chair and professor of painting Jason Guynes had a work juried into the Bowery Gallery‘s 32nd Annual National Juried Exhibition in New York. The artworks by the 22 artists were selected by renowned art critic, art historian, and curator David Cohen, who was the juror. Bowery exhibitions have been reviewed in publications such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, The New Republic, Art in America, and Arts. The show will be up through August 19, 2023, at the gallery’s new location on West 27th Street.

Jason Guynes has shown his work in juried exhibitions throughout the United States. Though he works extensively in oil on canvas and with drawing media, for the past twenty years, his primary focus has been murals. He has completed both private and public commissions throughout the country with major commissions in Mesa, Ariz., Joplin, Mo., Philadelphia, Pa., Livingston, Ala., and Mobile, Ala.
