Jonathan Cumberland Wins Gold in International Poster Competition

Assistant Professor Jonathan Cumberland (graphic design) was awarded two prizes in the international graphic design poster contest, Posterstellars. He received the gold “stellar” award in the political category and a bronze “stellar” in the “X Terrestrial” category. With an active practice in design and illustration, Cumberland is currently focused on creating digital posters that employ visual metaphors to address issues surrounding the environment, human rights and cultural events. His work has been published by Princeton Architectural Press and selected for a variety of recent international poster exhibitions, including in Poland, Belarus and Mexico. Select clients include Women’s Wear Daily, Scholastic Magazine, Johns Hopkins Magazine, and many others.
