Sarah Marshall’s Textile Prints Featured in 3-Person Show

Sarah Marshall, “Aggressive Reassurance,” 2021, screenprint, cyanotype, natural and artificial dyes, machine quilting, 28.5 x 38 inches.

Associate Professor Sarah Marshall (printmaking) had work in a three-person exhibition, Bed Slope, at Ground Floor Contemporary in Birmingham, Alabama, August 11-26, 2023. Focusing on the processes of printmaking and drawing, Marshall’s works on paper and fabric show organic forms that become portraits and characters; repeated in various environments, these characters examine our ideas about decision-making and the ways we treat each other. She has been included in numerous national and international juried exhibitions and has been the subject of solo exhibitions in Alabama, Iowa, Pennsylvania and Maryland. She has curated exhibitions and presented lectures and demonstrations at the College Art Association, the State University of West Georgia, West Virginia University and the University of North Alabama, among others.
