Alumna Appointed Assistant Professor at Boise State

Astri Snodgrass (MFA 2015), who was recently appointed assistant professor of painting and drawing at Boise State University, has work in the Boise State Faculty Biennial exhibition and in this year’s INT’L Paperworks Juried Exhibition at Minot State University, in Minot, North Dakota, through February 17. Before coming to Boise State, Snodgrass taught at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was an artist-in-residence at Studios Midwest, the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She has exhibited in solo and group shows at The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho, COOP Gallery, mild climate, and Channel to Channel in Nashville, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of West Georgia, Alabama School of Fine Arts, and Fuel and Lumber Company in Birmingham, Ala., among others. She received her MFA in painting from UA where she held her thesis exhibition in the Sarah Moody Gallery of Art. Her website is here.
