Ashlee René Thompson Opens Solo Show for March Art Night

Ashlee René Thompson (MFA 2022) presents a solo exhibition, Yellow Wood, at Harrison Galleries, March 1-31, 2023, with a jazz reception during March First Friday Art Walk, March 3, 6-9 pm.

Thompson had work juried into the “56th Annual Montgomery (AL) Art Guild Regions Bank Exhibition;” selected for “Windows to the Inside: Expressions of Mental Health,” Woman Made Gallery Virtual Exhibition, Chicago, IL; and received a Special Recognition award for her work in the 12th Annual All Women Art Exhibition at the Light, Space, and Time Online Art Gallery. She has shown her work in the New Art Vibes-Art Exhibition, at the Galerie Azote-Art Contemporain, Paris; Contemporary 4th Edition, at the Boomer Gallery, London; and 2022-Artistic Independence at the Las Laguna Art Gallery, Laguna Beach, California.

Thompson is an instructor teaching Drawing I in the department. She received the MFA in painting and a certificate of museum studies from The University of Alabama in 2022. Her website is here.
