Graduating Seniors’ Art Showcased in EXIT 2017

EXIT 2017 Senior ExhibitionThe University of Alabama Department of Art and Art History is pleased to present EXIT 2017, our annual senior exhibition for BA majors. The exhibition in the Sella-Granata Art Gallery runs April 6 through April 20, with a opening reception in the gallery Thursday, April 6, 4:00-7:00 p.m. The gallery, located in 109 Woods Hall on UA campus, is open Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend.

Assistant Professor Bryce Speed, coordinator for the show, explains, “The exhibition will include two-dimensional and three-dimensional art work created by this year’s graduating seniors. This represents the culmination of four years of their studio experience as well as their individual development as artists. In addition, all of the students take an active role in the installation of their exhibition by hanging work, setting lights and creating labels themselves. This is a worthwhile activity for them that reflects what life as an artist will be like beyond their time at the University.”

Exhibiting artists are Brandt Deeds, Brooks Delanie, Drew Kemmerly, Sarah Kidd, Melody Knight, Huanyu Liu, Erin Mayer, Jourdan McGowan, Aislinn McKinney, Erin Mosley, Maria Oswalt, Chy Papac, Grant Snow, Kirsten Wydra and others.
