UA Art Faculty Accolades – December 2023

Megan Moore, part-time instructor online, was invited to show her work in the exhibition, “First Person: Explorations in Printmaking,” in the Mendocino (California) College Gallery, going on now through February 5, 2024. Moore, who has taught Intro to the Visual Arts online at UA since 2017, has had solo exhibitions at the Sarah Doyle Gallery, Brown University and the Rodning Gallery of Art, University of South Alabama. Most recently her work was included in Global Matrix IV, Purdue University, Indiana, and the Sagebrush Art Center’s Invitational Print Exhibition in Wyoming. Her art has appeared in Graphic Impressions, the newsletter of Southern Graphic Conference International and in The Hand Magazine.

Bryce Speed, associate professor, painting, had work in a three-person exhibition in Birmingham at Ground Floor Contemporary. “The Long Now” was up December 1-16, 2023.  Speed and his co-exhibitors, Renee Hanan Plata and Ignacio Michaud, also gave a gallery talk.
