Seniors Abi Brewer and Liv Komisar were juried into the Tennessee Collegiate Art Competition (TCAC). The exhibition, which is open to all community college, college, and university students within Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama, runs February 18 – March 15, 2023, at Middle Tennessee State University’s (MTSU) Todd Hall Gallery. A reception and awards ceremony will be held February 25 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.

Liv Komisar is a senior BFA major in studio art with concentrations in painting and digital media, with a Blount Scholars Program minor. Her artwork is also currently showcased in the Gorgas Library Student Artwork Exhibition, through May 2023, on the 6th floor of Gorgas Library on UA campus. Komisar also works as a gallery assistant in the Paul R. Jones Museum in downtown Tuscaloosa. She was awarded the William Garnet Anderson Endowed Scholarship and the Art Students Endowed Scholarship Fund for 2022-2023. Her art website is here.
