Alumna Announces Solo Show at Connecticut Science Center

Vicki Lowe (MA 1971) recently announced a solo exhibition “In the Realm of the Senses: The Paintings of Victoria Lowe,” at the Sacred Heart University’s Discovery Science Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut, through May 31, 2023. In November, Lowe’s work was included in Interstellar – Between Stars, at Lichtundfire Gallery in New York. In 2017, after a long career as an artist and educator, a 40-year retrospective of Lowe’s art toured the Midwest and the Southeast with stops at the Morris Museum of Art in Augusta, Georgia, and the Hardin Center for Cultural Arts in Gadsden, Alabama.

Lowe said that she credits two professors of painting at UA, Melville Price and Howard Goodson, with her success. Read her interview here.
