Art & Art History Accolades – September 2020

Dr. Mina Kim, assistant professor of art history, published “Debating Wang Meng’s (1308-1385) Undated Handscroll: The Continuous Dialogue between Images and Texts in China,” in Misulsahak yŏn’gu (Korean Journal of Art History) 305 in March 2020.

Wade MacDonald, assistant professor of art, had an artwork juried into the 28th Annual Strictly Functional Pottery National, for which he won the Award for Slip Casting.

Daniel White, director of the Paul R. Jones Museum and The University of Alabama Gallery, was the juror for the 5th Annual Juried Faculty & Alumni Show at Calhoun Community College and Athens State University, in Athens, Alabama.

Dr. Jennifer Feltman’s (assistant professor of art history) book chapter “Aligning Word and Deed: The Emergence of ‘Confessor’ as a Priest Who Hears Confession,” was published in Les Mots au Moyen Âge. Actes du colloque international de l’International Medieval Society (30 juin-2 juillet 2016), edited by Vincent Debiais and Victoria Turner (Turnhout: Brepols, 2020).
